Have you read Alan Weisman's chapter on the rising tide in Manhattan? The World Without Us --- Glad to know there is hope for unemployed architects, as well. What result of global warming would be as charismatic here, I wonder?
I haven't gotten to that chapter yet; I have been taking that book slowly finding it both terrifying and uplifting.
